Bd-14 JUNMAISHU Junmai

This is a slightly sweet junmai-shu made using the four-stage brewing process. It is a clean, light Japanese sake with a mild aroma. We recommend pouring it over ice in a glass and drinking it on the rocks. It also tastes great with a slice of lemon or sparkling water.

In 1887, Kannichi Kaba built Kaba Shuzo near the Zomeki River, a branch of the Abu River that flows through the area. The morning and evening temperatures were severely cold, making it the perfect place for sake brewing. The name Yachiyo is derived from the line "chiyo ni yachiyo ni” from the national anthem of Japan, "Kimigayo”. “Chiyo ni yachiyo ni” means “for thousands of years”, and the sake brewed here was named Yachiyo in the hopes that the families of the people who drink this sake will prosper for many years to come. Later, when the company was established in 1953, the name was officially changed to Yachiyo Shuzo (Yachiyo Brewery).
